Description
The University of Texas at Austin, through Campus Operations and Planning and its Office of Building Compliance, is seeking multiple qualified technical service providers for independent third-party fire and life safety code and contract compliance inspections and testing. Services support new construction, additions, renovations, and alterations at university-owned and leased facilities and may include field inspections, testing, construction-document reviews, inspection scheduling, construction-meeting attendance, field reports, compliance documentation, and written reporting of noncompliant conditions. The work is indefinite-quantity and non-exclusive, performed on an as-needed basis under individual project assignments. Applicable standards include the International Building Code, International and National Fire Protection Association fire and life safety codes, Texas regulations, and university design and construction standards. Respondents must submit a detailed statement of qualifications addressing firm and team experience, certifications, emergency response capability, up to five relevant projects, three references, proposed personnel and subcontractors, quality assurance, recordkeeping, and problem resolution. A VetHUB subcontracting plan is required because subcontracting opportunities are considered probable. The resulting agreement is for one year with four successive one-year renewal options; the draft agreement states an overall maximum value of $5,000,000 without prior Board of Regents authorization, with no guaranteed minimum work.
