Description
The University of Texas at Austin is seeking one or more qualified technical services providers to perform independent, third-party construction-phase code compliance inspections and testing on an as-needed basis. Services support new construction, additions, renovations, and alterations at university-owned and leased facilities and may include building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and energy inspections; testing; review of construction documents; field reports; documentation; coordination with the Owner’s Designated Representative, architects, engineers, and contractors; and attendance at construction meetings when requested. Providers must respond to service requests within 24 hours and report inspection or testing results within 24 hours of completion. Required team certifications include applicable International Code Council inspector certifications and specified Texas electrical and plumbing credentials. The solicitation anticipates multiple qualified firms under a non-exclusive, indefinite-scope agreement. The initial term is one year with four consecutive one-year renewal options. Responses must include a Statement of Qualifications, a completed and signed Execution of Offer, and a VetHUB Subcontracting Plan. The Qualifications are limited to 45 pages and must address organizational capability, emergency response, relevant project experience, proposed personnel and subcontractors, references, inspection and testing best practices, documentation and recordkeeping, quality assurance, and problem resolution.
