Description
The University of Texas at Austin is soliciting bids to upgrade four interior fire-door assemblies at Stairwell 1 of the Peter T. Flawn Academic Center. The work includes furnishing and installing complete, operational, code-compliant 90-minute fire-rated door and frame assemblies, fire-rated glazing, hardware, anchors, fasteners, perimeter seals, fire-rated sealants, and related accessories. The contractor must field-verify existing conditions, coordinate with the University's separate fire-alarm contractor, and provide all labor, supervision, equipment, permits, disposal, testing, and incidentals. The project also requires demolition and removal of existing doors, frames, hardware, glazing, anchors, sealants, and associated materials; protection of adjacent finishes and egress routes; daily cleanup; inspection, adjustment, and testing of each completed assembly; and closeout documentation including product data, warranty information, fire-rating documentation, and inspection/test records. A completed Pricing and Delivery Schedule, questionnaire responses, responses to the specifications and scope of work, contract-term exceptions or redlines, and a completed VetHUB Subcontracting Plan are required for submission.
