Description
The City of Ventura is soliciting proposals for recurring nuisance-sand removal at the City-owned portion of Pierpont Beach between San Pedro Lane and Greenock Lane. The work includes grading and removing sand from up to 27 beach-access lanes and along the frontages of up to 17 private properties, hauling the sand within the City's jurisdiction, and spreading or grading it at designated deposit sites. Contractors must provide labor, equipment, transportation, traffic control, cleanup, portable restrooms, public-noticing support, and required traffic-control plans. Equipment may include excavators, bulldozers, track loaders, rubber-tire loaders, and articulating dump trucks, subject to specified capacity and access restrictions. The project is performed twice per year, during fall and spring removal events, with estimated quantities and separate schedules of work and prices for each event. The initial agreement term is one year, with four additional one-year extension options, for a maximum total term of five years. Proposals must address qualifications and experience, staffing and resources, references, pricing, litigation and disqualification history, exceptions or deviations, public-records treatment, addenda, and the proposal authorization form. Insurance evidence, a business license, and a W-9 are required after award rather than with the proposal.
