Description
The County of Ventura Public Works Agency is soliciting bids for slope repairs at Lockwood Valley Road mileposts 2.0, 9.27, 9.33, and 12.0. The work includes mobilization; public access and notice; traffic control and construction signing; water pollution control; demolition and export; unclassified fill; diversion, control, and removal of water; Class III rock riprap aprons; Class VIII rock slope protection; AC dike construction; asphalt concrete roadway reconstruction; crushed miscellaneous base; a 24-inch corrugated metal overside drain; geogrid reinforcement; pavement delineation, striping, and signing; rumble strips; and related appurtenant work. The estimated construction cost is $1,187,550. The project requires a Class A California contractor's license, Department of Industrial Relations registration for the contractor and subcontractors, prevailing-wage compliance, and a bid guarantee of at least 10 percent of the bid amount. The awarded contractor must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds and required insurance. The contract start date is 28 calendar days after award, with 45 working days allowed for completion.
