Description
The City of Ventura is conducting an information-gathering effort for a modern video management system supporting approximately 220 existing cameras, with growth expected to exceed 300 cameras. The desired solution must support on-premises or hybrid architecture with distributed recording across multiple locations, fixed, PTZ, multisensor, and license plate recognition cameras, ONVIF-compliant devices, multi-site viewing, event- and motion-based recording, advanced video search, evidence export, role-based access control, secure remote access, multifactor authentication, and bandwidth optimization. Primary cloud recording is not acceptable due to bandwidth constraints. The City is also seeking information about video analytics, camera-health monitoring, performance dashboards, CJIS-aligned logging and auditing, video wall support, operator and IT training, 24/7 support, service-level agreements, and integrations with Hirsch Velocity, Lenel OnGuard, ESRI GIS, Evidence.com/AXON, and potentially Versaterm CAD/RMS. Video recorders are expected to be provided and warranted by the manufacturer. This RFI is for planning purposes only and will not result in a contract award; respondents must complete the Respondent Declaration and provide information by the stated deadline.
