Description
The Town of Durham is soliciting sealed bids from qualified and properly licensed contractors for complete demolition and removal of the existing wood-framed structure and concrete foundation at 51 Main Street. The scope includes site fencing and containment, dust suppression, demolition, removal and lawful disposal of debris, foundation collapse into the cellar hole, septic tank abandonment, approved backfilling and compaction, and final site cleanup. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, permits, transportation, disposal services, and environmental handling required for the work. The scope also requires qualified air-quality monitoring and a written report, compliance with applicable demolition, hazardous-material, lead, environmental, and safety requirements, and repair of damage to adjacent property. The bid must include a lump-sum price and specified qualifications, licenses, insurance, schedule, relevant experience, references, disposal-facility information, site and environmental-documentation confirmation, and exceptions, if any.
