The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is soliciting sealed bids from licensed, prequalified subcontractors for labor, materials, and equipment for building priority packages for two new five-story residence halls totaling approximately 174,000 square feet and 734 beds. The project includes demolition of the existing Jackson Hall, site utility updates, steel structure over concrete, and exterior construction including brick veneer, storefront, curtain wall, and metal panels. Bid packages include general trades, concrete, masonry, miscellaneous metals, waterproofing and sealants, roofing, wall panels, doors, frames and hardware, glass and glazing, windows, drywall, ceilings, specialties, elevators, fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, and site work and utilities. Bids are limited to prequalified subcontractors and must include the labor, materials, and equipment required for the selected package.
