Description
The City of Highland seeks a contractor to replace the membrane roofs on Buildings A and B at its police station. Work includes installing an adhered, fleece-backed KEE single-ply roofing system over the existing roof membrane; replacing or reinstalling metal coping as needed; installing continuous flexible walkways to roof access points and serviceable equipment; and patching, sealing, and flashing new photovoltaic-system stanchions and other penetrations. The contractor must coordinate with the photovoltaic contractor and maintain access to the occupied police station throughout construction. The bid includes specified roof membrane materials purchased by the City, while the contractor supplies additional quantities and other required materials. The scope also includes manufacturer inspections and warranties, a two-year contractor labor-and-material warranty, and a 20-year manufacturer warranty. The contractor must self-perform at least 50% of the work. A bid security of at least 10% of the bid is required.
