Description
The Commission seeks a qualified electrical contractor to provide recurring preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, corrective repairs, and emergency response for existing electrical and lighting systems at its commuter rail stations and other facilities. Work includes quarterly lighting surveys and repairs, annual emergency-light and solar-array maintenance, infrared thermographic inspections of electrical panels and connections, and authorized repairs or in-kind replacements of existing equipment. New systems, expansions, major reconstruction, and capital improvements are excluded. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, supervision, equipment, materials, and 24-hour emergency response, and must hold a valid California C-10 electrical contractor license and applicable Department of Industrial Relations registration. Proposals must include firm and personnel qualifications, an approach to the work, pricing, three client reference forms submitted directly by the references, and the specified proposal forms and certifications. The contract is planned as a three-year base period with one two-year option.
