Description
The Mojave Water Agency seeks a contractor to provide comprehensive landscape maintenance and management at its main office and other facilities. The contractor must supply the labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and supplies needed for the work. Tasks include shrub and tree maintenance; insect, disease, and weed control; irrigation inspections and minor adjustments; and weed abatement at operational sites. Weed abatement at specified operational sites is mechanical only, with pesticide use prohibited unless the Agency provides written approval. Irrigation repairs and replacement plants require Agency approval and are billed separately, except for urgent repairs needed to prevent further damage or a safety threat. The proposal must include a technical response addressing the requested services, staffing, supervision, equipment, scheduling, quality control, and communications, as well as a separate, itemized cost proposal. Other requested proposal content includes company and personnel information, three similar-project references, a sample certificate of insurance, evidence of current Department of Industrial Relations registration, litigation and disciplinary histories, applicable licenses and permits, and a transition plan. The anticipated agreement is for three years, with up to two optional one-year extensions by mutual written agreement. California prevailing-wage and public-works requirements apply.
