Description
The Lamoille County Planning Commission, assisting the Town of Hyde Park, seeks a qualified environmental or civil engineering consulting team to complete 100% final design for removal of the Centerville Brook concrete dam and 30% preliminary designs for two perched culverts at Centerville Road and Brook Road. The work includes hydraulic and sediment-transport modeling; topographic, geotechnical, and field data collection; alternatives analysis for culvert retrofits or replacement; aquatic organism passage documentation; stream-channel and wetland restoration; timber grade controls and Beaver Dam Analog designs; relocation of an existing dry hydrant; cost estimates; and coordination with project partners and the Hyde Park Selectboard. The final design must include stamped engineering plans, sediment management for approximately 200 cubic yards of impounded material, bid-ready construction documents, draft permit applications and permitting-needs documentation, and final and preliminary design reports. Proposals must include staff qualifications, up to three similar project examples with client contacts, available resources, proposed approach, cost information, and specified certifications. The available budget is $40,000, and the resulting contract is firm fixed-price with project completion and final deliverables due by September 1, 2027.
