Description
The City of Essex Junction is soliciting sealed bids for rehabilitation of Primary Clarifier No. 1 and Secondary Clarifier No. 1 at its Water Resource Recovery Facility. The base work includes rehabilitation of immersed steel components, including walls, rake arms, drums, and miscellaneous piping; concrete floor repair, grout injection, resurfacing, and protective lining; surface preparation; and coating application. Add Alternate A covers rehabilitation and coating of atmospheric steel on Primary Clarifier No. 1. The specifications require coating and concrete-repair work using specified or approved equivalent materials, including abrasive or power-tool surface preparation, epoxy and glass-flake coating systems, concrete resurfacing, quality-control inspections, dry-film-thickness testing, and holiday detection. Bidders must submit the City’s proposal materials, bidder qualification information, subcontractor information, bid security, and required acknowledgments. The successful contractor must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the agreement amount, and comply with the stated insurance requirements.
