The Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission, acting as the Clean Water Service Provider for the Winooski Basin, is accepting applications for funding for non-regulatory, voluntary phosphorus-reduction projects that improve water quality. Eligible work may include floodplain and stream restoration, wetland restoration, buffer planting, project assessment or development, design, and implementation activities. Applicants must submit a single PDF containing the project proposal form and supporting materials, including project eligibility screening, a locator map, timeline, staff capacity and resumes where applicable, phosphorus-reduction calculator results, a detailed task-based budget, landowner support letters, permits where applicable, operations and maintenance documentation where applicable, and historic-preservation review materials. The application requests three examples of relevant past work and requires a project schedule assuming a September 1, 2025 start date.
