Description
Somerset County Department of Human Services is seeking a community-based agency to lead the Fueling Futures Somerset County: School Meals Access & Equity Program. The selected agency must engage at least three Somerset County municipal school districts and provide culturally responsive, multilingual outreach; hands-on assistance with free and reduced-price school meal applications; food insecurity screening integration; staff training and technical assistance; referral pathways to food assistance organizations; and cross-sector coordination. Performance targets include reaching at least 1,500 families, conducting three outreach campaigns per participating district, training at least 100 school staff, generating at least 200 food-assistance referrals, and connecting at least 150 families to additional food resources. The contract award is up to $30,000 for a one-year period, with the stated contract term running from contract award through June 30, 2027. The contractor must provide work plans, progress reports, meeting minutes, monthly invoices, a Gantt chart, a final report, and program documentation. Proposals must include the required cost/signature and statutory compliance forms, qualification and experience information, key personnel details, subcontractor information if applicable, a servicing-office address, and one similar-project reference. The primary contractor remains responsible for all services, although subcontractors or sub-consultants may be used with the County's written approval.
