Description
The State of Oregon, through the Department of Education, is seeking applications for grants to support at-risk afterschool and summer meal programs. These grants aim to reimburse eligible expenses that expand access and increase participation in USDA programs such as the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) At-Risk Afterschool Program, and National School Lunch Program (NSLP) Seamless Summer Option (SSO). Grant funds can be used for various eligible expenses including food service equipment, outreach and enrichment activities, transportation, and labor costs directly related to grant activities. The performance period for these grants is from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027, with a not-to-exceed amount of $20,000 per successful applicant per biennium. Applicants must be an Oregon public school district, a government agency, a community-based organization, or a non-profit organization, and meet specific sponsor status requirements.
