The Oregon Department of Education, through its Child Nutrition Programs, is offering startup and expansion grants to support at-risk afterschool and summer meal programs. Over $562,000 in grant funds is available for the 2025-2027 biennium. Eligible applicants include Oregon public school districts, government agencies, community-based organizations, and non-profit organizations that meet sponsor status requirements. Grant funds can be used for food service equipment, outreach, enrichment activities, transportation, and labor costs directly related to grant activities.
