Description
The U.S. Army is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to prepare, transport, and serve boxed noon meals for applicants processing at the Chicago Military Entrance Processing Station. The estimated requirement is 52 meals per service day, with a maximum of 125 meals per day, generally Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays and scheduled training days, plus up to 28 Saturdays annually. Mission-day meals may be required on up to two processing days per month. The base period covers October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with two one-year option periods. Each meal must include a six-inch submarine sandwich with specified bread, meat or vegetarian ingredients, cheese, separately wrapped lettuce and tomato, chips, a cookie, an apple or banana, straw, napkin, condiments, and required beverage selections. The contractor must provide the food, licensed preparation facility, transportation, equipment, supplies, labor, cleaning, waste removal, meal documentation, and administrative support. Food preparation facilities and vehicles must comply with applicable health, safety, licensing, and insurance requirements. Subcontracting is permitted subject to the applicable small-business limitations and required disclosure. Quotes will be evaluated on a lowest-priced technically acceptable basis, including an acceptable recent health inspection report and acceptable or neutral past performance.
