Description
El Paso County seeks a food-service provider to prepare, package, deliver, and serve nutritious congregate and home-delivered meals for older adults and adults with disabilities. The scope covers approximately 4,000 meals per day, including service at up to 20 congregate centers and home delivery throughout the county. The vendor will use the City of El Paso commercial kitchen at 600 S. Ochoa Street, provide meal-service and delivery staff, clean kitchens and service areas, maintain meal-temperature and delivery records, and operate within required delivery windows. Meals must comply with Older Americans Act, Texas Administrative Code, FDA Food Code, Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and Dietary Reference Intake requirements. The vendor must provide culturally appropriate five-week cycle menus, nutritional analyses certified with wet signatures by a registered dietitian, packaging and labeling, emergency meal planning, staff training, background checks, vehicle maintenance, reporting, and customer references. Pricing is required per congregate meal, homebound meal, and shelf-stable meal if needed. The initial contract term is two years with three two-year renewal options, for a maximum term of eight years.
