Description

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction is soliciting one or more statewide convenience contracts with qualified E-Rate service providers for Category Two eligible internal connections products and services. The scope includes wireless access points, switches, routers, wireless controllers, firewalls, caching components, UPS and battery-backup equipment, software and licenses, racks, copper and fiber structured cabling, installation, activation, initial configuration, managed internal broadband services, basic maintenance, technical support, wireless surveys, access testing, and equipment removal when required. Participating public school units, including traditional school districts and charter schools, and eligible libraries will conduct subsequent mini-bids for site-specific requirements; no specific purchase quantities are guaranteed. Vendors must identify the segments on which they are bidding and provide eligible products, OEM or brand information where required, pricing or discounts, technical and service details, equipment-ownership options for managed services, service-level information, geographic service capability, and applicable authorization, warranty, support, and reference documentation. Structured cabling responses must separately address indoor/interior and outdoor/exterior cabling and include grouped item descriptions, units, and not-to-exceed pricing. The resulting convenience contracts support procurements through September 30, 2031.
