Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, on behalf of Kentucky State University, seeks a prime architectural and engineering consultant for the renovation and potential expansion of the approximately 18,577-square-foot Shauntee Hall on KSU's South Campus. The project will support engineering, technology, laboratory, classroom, faculty, student collaboration, and related STEM functions in a modern, technology-rich instructional environment. The authorized total project budget is $8,000,000. The selected consultant will provide comprehensive professional services, including programming verification; stakeholder engagement; existing-condition and utility investigations; architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, landscape, geotechnical, technology/security, and cost-estimating services; code, accessibility, and regulatory coordination; construction phasing and continuity-of-operations planning; cost and schedule control; design through final construction documents; bidding assistance; construction administration; site observations; submittal and RFI review; payment application review; completion services; record documents; and warranty-period services. The response must address comparable higher-education, STEM/laboratory, occupied-facility, renovation/addition, and vertical-addition experience, proposed personnel and subconsultants, project approach, past performance, capacity, references, Kentucky registrations, SF 330 Part II, required affidavits, permits and registration information, and the official signature page.
