The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York is soliciting bids for construction work at Queens College involving conversion of the central chiller plant's high-pressure steam distribution to low-pressure steam service outside Delany Hall, Jefferson Hall, Frese Hall, and Colwin Hall, together with asbestos abatement. The estimated construction cost is $3,750,000 to $4,250,000. The successful low bidder must execute a Project Labor Agreement, and all subcontractors at every tier must agree to be bound by it. Bidders must have at least five years of experience in similar work and submit five contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity completed or substantially completed within the past ten years. The solicitation also identifies contract security, EEO/AA insurance, a New York State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire, and SDVOB, MBE, and WBE participation goals.
