Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4, is soliciting quotes for a Firm-Fixed-Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide durable medical equipment (DME) services for the VISN 4 West medical centers. The contractor will be responsible for the storage, delivery, installation, set-up, pick-up, and repair of VA-owned DME, including hospital beds, mattresses, patient lifts, wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility aids, for veteran beneficiaries in the catchment areas of the Altoona, Butler, Erie, and Pittsburgh VA Medical Centers. Services must be available 24/7, including emergency delivery and repair. The contractor must meet Joint Commission standards, maintain secure and climate-controlled storage facilities, and provide patient education and training. The contract includes a base ordering period of one year plus four one-year option periods, with an estimated maximum value of $8,990,000. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside.
