Description
Johnson County Area Agency on Aging, a unit of the Johnson County Aging & Human Services Department, is seeking qualified and licensed providers for nonmedical in-home services for Johnson County residents age 60 and older and eligible caregivers. Services include urban and non-urban homemaker services, chore and deep-cleaning programs, attendant care, self-directed homemaker/attendant care, companion care, respite care, medication management under licensed registered-nurse supervision, and holiday upcharge services. Providers may bid on one or more service categories and must provide separate service descriptions for each offered category. The County has established fixed, non-negotiable reimbursement rates ranging from $35 to $75 per hour or flat-rate service, with a 1.5-times standard-rate holiday upcharge; hours and service volume are not guaranteed. Providers must be appropriately licensed in Kansas, maintain qualified and trained staff, document service time in 15-minute increments, attend periodic in-person provider meetings, and comply with reporting, HIPAA, background-check, training, and insurance requirements. The contract is for an approximate 12-month period with four additional 12-month renewal options.
