Description
The City of Bangor is requesting bids for the construction of the TSA Screening Checkpoint Expansion at Bangor International Airport. The project includes phased demolition, renovation, restroom renovations, skylight replacement, HVAC upgrades, temporary café construction and related electrical, plumbing, data, and mechanical work, furniture and plant relocation, and security-equipment work. Security equipment is included in the scope and must be performed through a TSA-approved contractor; the contractor is also responsible for abatement, cranes, permits, licenses, and associated fees. The project must maintain airport operations, and proposed changes to the baseline phasing plan require Owner, Designer, and, where applicable, TSA approval. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest qualified combined bid for Schedules A, B, and C; Add Alternate 1 will depend on available budget. Bids are lump-sum proposals using the Bid Worksheet and must use consistent unit pricing for like pay items within each schedule. The project is funded through the Passenger Facility Charge program, does not require Buy America, Davis-Bacon, or special wage rates, and has no preliminary budget provided. Notice to proceed is anticipated on or after January 2, 2027.
