Description
The City of Bangor is seeking bids for one current-year extended-reach aircraft deicer for Bangor International Airport. The City will consider an unsold previous-year model or alternative equipment if it meets or exceeds the minimum specifications and applicable industry standards. Addendum No. 1 confirms that AFEX fire-suppression systems may be proposed as an alternative if they meet those requirements, and bidders must include relevant information for proposed alternatives. The equipment must include a 2,800-gallon stainless-steel premix fluid system; Type I and Type IV deicing and anti-icing capabilities; heated and insulated tanks; fire-suppression and safety systems; a Freightliner M2 chassis with Cummins diesel engine; an enclosed boom-operator cabin; a telescopic boom reaching up to 78 feet; forced-air deicing and anti-icing equipment; instant fluid heating; monitoring and printing systems; a VR training simulator; and cold-weather equipment. Bidders must complete the Bid Form, provide product information and any exceptions, and include pricing for the deicer, extended powertrain warranty, and estimated delivery date.
