Description
The City of Bangor is soliciting bids for replacement of one Lochinvar domestic hot water boiler at the Cross Insurance Center. The work includes removal and disposal of the existing boiler and related equipment; installation of a properly sized, commercially designed replacement boiler; replacement of circulators, expansion tank, controls, valves, and gauges; integration with the existing Honeywell zone controls; insulation of boiler-room piping where practicable; and updates to the existing masonry chimney as required by code. The successful bidder must obtain required permits and inspections, coordinate with the facility's Director of Operations or designee, and dispose of removed equipment in accordance with applicable laws. Bidders must provide at least three references addressing relevant ability and experience, and must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit; only bids from attendees will be accepted. Required insurance includes workers' compensation, employer's liability, automobile liability, commercial general liability, and professional liability coverage at the stated limits.
