Description
The City of Bangor is soliciting bids to replace approximately 240 feet of existing concrete curb in front of the International Terminal at Bangor International Airport with natural granite curbing. The work includes establishing a safe, OSHA-compliant work site; saw-cutting the sidewalk; removing 18 inches of concrete walk, curb, and 12 inches of pavement; drilling and pinning into the existing concrete walk; placing and finishing concrete infill; edging the replacement; and replacing pavement in front of the granite. The granite curb must be natural stone and at least 5 inches by 16 inches. Control joints must be saw-cut at 10- to 15-foot intervals and to one-quarter of the concrete thickness. The contractor is responsible for trenching, compaction, and pavement work, and must complete the project by November 13, 2026. Bidders must submit the provided Bid Form and at least three project references. The winning bidder must provide required insurance before contract execution and name the City of Bangor as an additional insured where applicable.
