Description
The City of Bangor is soliciting bids for one complete heavy-duty construction and snowplow truck. The required vehicle includes a tandem-axle cab and chassis, dump body, reversible trip-edge snowplow, high-lift patrol wing, spreader and conveyor, hydraulic systems, pintle hitch, lighting, wiring, and related equipment. The truck must have a minimum 60,000-pound GVW, 6x4 axle configuration, diesel engine, automatic transmission, and components suitable for severe snowplow and dump-truck service. The City will consider current-model-year vehicles, qualifying unsold prior-year models, and compliant off-the-lot cab-and-chassis units. The successful bidder must install all components, inspect and service the completed vehicle, provide manuals, software, operator and technician training, perform required alignment and system checks, and deliver the fully operational vehicle. The package includes a minimum two-year parts-and-labor warranty, with specified longer coverage for hydraulic cylinders. Bidders must submit the City's Bid Form and any applicable exceptions; the bid price must include transportation and other miscellaneous charges.
