Description
The project requires furnishing, installing, integrating, configuring, testing, and commissioning five new pan-tilt-zoom highway CCTV cameras at locations along Interstate 95. The work includes new support poles with lowering devices, camera connections and mounting hardware, pole-mounted ITS equipment cabinets, Ethernet switches and routers, communications service connections, electrical service connections, grounding and transient-voltage surge suppression, conduits, junction boxes, foundations, concrete steps, and related materials. The CCTV systems must integrate with MaineDOT's New England Compass advanced transportation management system and Axis Camera Station software, with local and remote testing capabilities, software licensing, training, warranties, and required technical submittals. The contractor must perform traffic control and maintain required travel lanes during construction, coordinate with utility and communications providers, provide traffic control and soil erosion and water pollution control plans when required, and comply with applicable safety, environmental, federal-aid, labor, DBE, and self-performance requirements. The apparent successful bidder must demonstrate either MaineDOT prequalification in the Highway and/or Traffic Signals/Lighting category or recent relevant experience, including at least one project in the previous five years containing at least three specified critical components.
