Description
The Town of Orono, Maine is soliciting sealed bids for replacement of approximately 4,000 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer, 14 precast manholes, and approximately 1,600 linear feet of 4-inch and 6-inch sewer services. The work includes all materials, equipment, and labor for pipe installation, traffic control, excavation, backfill, compaction, trench paving, erosion control, and related work required for project completion. Concrete beneath portions of the roadway will be replaced with flowable fill as part of the trench road repairs. The project must be substantially completed within 180 consecutive calendar days and fully completed within 210 calendar days after execution of the Notice to Proceed. Only registered plan holders who obtain the plans from the engineering firm may submit a bid. A 5% bid bond is required, and the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds at contract execution.
