Description
The City of Bangor is soliciting bids for one complete single-axle, heavy-duty cab and chassis configured as a construction and snowplow truck. The required package includes a cab and chassis, power-reversible snowplow, patrol wing, front hitch, clam hoist with orange-peel clam bucket, stainless-steel dump body, hook-lift system, central hydraulic system, hydraulic valving, pintle hitch, emergency and work lighting, wiring, and related accessories. The chassis must meet detailed requirements for axle capacities, suspension, frame strength, diesel engine, automatic transmission, brakes, electrical systems, cab equipment, tires, fuel and cooling systems, and emissions compliance. The completed vehicle must be installed, serviced, inspected, aligned, fully operational, and delivered FOB destination to the City's Fleet Maintenance Department. The solicitation also requires operator and technician training, manuals and diagnostic software, warranties, wiring and hydraulic schematics, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements. A current model year is preferred, but compliant unsold prior-year units and qualifying off-the-lot chassis may be offered. Bidders must submit the City's Bid Form and any applicable exceptions; the Bid Form requires pricing, vehicle year, make, model, estimated delivery, warranty terms, and service-address information.
