Description
The City of Bangor is soliciting sealed bids for renovation of one men's restroom and one women's restroom in Building 121, the General Aviation Building at Bangor International Airport. The scope includes demolition, carpentry, concrete and patching, doors and hardware, gypsum wallboard, tile, painting, signage, toilet compartments and accessories, plumbing fixtures and sanitary/vent piping, heating and ventilation, electrical power and lighting, fire-protection-related work, and associated finishes and site restoration. The project includes a new sanitary service connection to the existing service main and abandonment of the internal sewer line. Bidders must use the provided Bid Form and submit the required 5% bid bond or certified check in lieu of a bond. The successful contractor must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds, insurance documentation, and other post-award items. Work must commence within 10 days after notice to proceed and be substantially complete by January 29, 2027. Airport access requires security clearance and badges, and the contractor must coordinate work to minimize disruption to airport operations.
