Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting proposals for comprehensive grounds maintenance services at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California. The contract will be a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract with a base year and four one-year option periods. Services include turf and grass maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging, fertilization, renovation, and aerification), pest control (including vertebrate and invertebrate pests), irrigation system services (including pump station maintenance, leak detection, and valve testing), pond services (including water quality testing, aquatic weed control, and aeration equipment maintenance), drainage system maintenance, trash and debris removal, and structure cleaning (including columbaria, memorials, and monuments). The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision. A one-time replacement and repair of the Medal of Honor reflection pool pump system is also included. The performance work statement emphasizes the need for reverence and care in handling headstones and markers, and requires compliance with National Cemetery Administration standards. The contract has a guaranteed minimum of $9,115.51 and a maximum aggregate value of $23,000,000.
