Description
The City of Ocala is soliciting a contractor to provide comprehensive ground maintenance and landscaping services for the Public Works Department, including mowing, weed trimming, edging, blowing, herbicide application, trash and debris removal, and maintenance of designated City-owned rights-of-way and other public areas. Work includes the City Complex, SunTran Field, and NE 21st Street and NE 30th Avenue, with mowing frequencies specified by location and month. City Complex mowing must occur on weekends, while certain rights-of-way and adjacent areas are serviced on Fridays. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, disposal, reporting, and damage repairs required by the scope. Bidders must possess and maintain a commercial applicator license issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, have five years of mowing or ground-maintenance experience, own specified equipment, and submit equipment photographs with serial numbers, proof of business address, the required license, and a completed Exhibit B Price Proposal in Excel format. The contractor must perform at least 95% of the work with its own forces. The resulting contract has an initial three-year term with two optional one-year renewals. Insurance is explicitly required in Exhibit A, including commercial general liability, commercial automobile liability, and workers’ compensation/employer’s liability coverage.
