Description
The City of New Hampton is soliciting proposals from qualified sanitation haulers to provide weekly curbside collection and disposal of residential solid waste and biweekly collection and disposal of ordinary recyclable materials for approximately 1,406 single-family homes, condominiums, duplexes, and townhouses. The contractor must provide 65-gallon carts or equivalent containers, collection vehicles and labor, reserve equipment, missed-pickup response, customer-service support, and a public recycling container at a city-designated site at no cost to the City. Proposals must include per-dwelling-unit pricing, proposed annual rate increases and contract length, company information and relevant experience, references, equipment and labor plans, route strategy, missed-pickup and complaint procedures, and evidence of the ability to obtain a $100,000 performance bond. The initial contract is expected to begin January 1, 2027, for three years, with a City option for an additional three years. Required proposal materials include Forms I, II, and III. Insurance evidence is required before contract approval, with specified general liability, automobile liability, umbrella, pollution liability, and workers’ compensation coverage.
