Description
The University of Wyoming is seeking one or more qualified suppliers to provide as-needed American Sign Language interpreting and related disability support resources. Services include in-person, video remote, and hybrid interpreting for classes, labs, exams, meetings, orientations, public events, ceremonies, performances, athletic events, trainings, tours, interviews, appointments, and possible off-campus field trips. Suppliers must provide qualified interpreters, substitutes, scheduling and billing support, responses to requests within one business day, assignment confirmation within two business days, and service within 24 hours when requested. The interpreter pool must support Pidgin Signed English, American Sign Language, and Conceptually Accurate Signed Language, with on-site interpreters residing within 150 miles of Laramie, Wyoming. The solicitation requires at least 10 years of experience coordinating interpreter services in post-secondary and professional academic settings, liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage, background checks, FERPA-compliant handling of education records, and technology capable of providing video remote interpreting. Proposals must include a work plan, company information, responses to the scope and clarification questions, three references, pricing for weekday, evening, weekend, holiday, short-notice, and cancellation services, completed proposal and federal certification forms, and any optional value-added services. The proposal is limited to 25 single-sided pages, with the Letter of Transmittal limited to three pages.
