Description
The Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation requires multiple contractors to provide American Sign Language interpretation and communication access services for Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, and other individuals requiring accommodations. Services include scheduled and on-call interpretation for group therapy, medical evaluations, mental health services, treatment-team and quarterly staffing meetings, community meetings, routine conferencing, and occasional employee needs. Coverage may be required during evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies, with emergency on-site response required within two hours of the initial request. Contractors must provide licensed and certified personnel, maintain required certifications, have at least two years of verifiable secure-environment interpreting experience, and possess courtroom or due-process and mental-health interpreting experience. Each interpreter must hold at least two specified certifications, pass required background checks, satisfy immunization and infection-control requirements, complete facility orientation, and comply with confidentiality, HIPAA, security, and professional-conduct requirements. The initial contract period is July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with four successive one-year renewal periods available. Bidders must submit all-inclusive hourly rates for resident services, after-hours/weekend/emergency services, and optional employee services.
