Description
The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada is seeking Canadian interpreter agencies to provide rare-language interpretation services in English and/or French for immigration and refugee proceedings. The scope includes consecutive in-person interpretation at designated locations across Canada, with telephone and videoconference interpretation also possible at the Board’s discretion; interpretation outside hearing rooms, translation of short documents, test-correction services, and quality-assurance auditing services are also required as needed. Bidders must demonstrate at least three years of relevant interpretation-services experience, provide two references, identify the languages and full names of available interpreter resources, and submit firm all-inclusive hourly rates for each proposed language and contract period. Interpreters must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, proficient in the required languages, and obtain Reliability Status screening. The contractor organization must hold a valid Designated Organization Screening with Protected B document safeguarding before contract award. The initial term runs from contract award through October 1, 2027 (estimated), with up to three additional one-year option periods; multiple contracts may be awarded by language.
