Georgetown County School District (GCSD) is soliciting offers from qualified sources to provide a school-to-home communication platform for the 2024-2025 academic year. The selected platform must facilitate two-way communication and messaging between teachers, students, parents, and administrators while ensuring the privacy of personal contact information. The platform should be specifically designed for school districts and support en masse or targeted messaging by teachers, schools, and the district without disclosing phone numbers or email addresses. It must also support communications for athletic teams and school clubs/organizations. The platform must include features such as SMS/text messaging from a web portal and mobile application, unlimited character messaging, group messaging capabilities, scheduling of messages, attachments (audio, video, links, files, images), translation of messages into multiple languages (including Spanish, Polish, German, Gujarati, Portuguese, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Russian, and Mandarin), and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The vendor will provide initial set-up, training, and ongoing technical support, including 24/7 customer support, system maintenance, and automatic upgrades. Integration with the District's PowerSchool SMS is required, with rostering integration preferred. The contract will be for a one-year initial term with four additional one-year renewal options, for a maximum potential contract life of five years. The estimated start date is July 1, 2024, and the estimated end date is June 30, 2029.
