Description
The Saratoga-Encampment-Rawlins Conservation District, working with the United States Forest Service, seeks qualified professional services to clear right-of-way corridors in the Mullen Fire burn scar before replacement of allotment fences. The work includes mechanical mastication, chipping, hand cutting and removal of hazardous live and dead conifers, slash piling where needed, and removal of debris that would interfere with fence construction and maintenance. Proposers must describe relevant mechanical-mastication experience, equipment and personnel resources, methodology, project management and schedule, references, and a detailed cost analysis with total price. The project prescription calls for treatment of an approximately 150-foot-wide fence corridor, with specific restrictions for wetlands, streams, steep or sensitive areas, archaeological sites, private property, roads, and rail-bed access. Preference will be given to proposals that complete the work in fall 2026.
