Description
The County of El Dorado is establishing a qualified list of firms to provide as-needed and urgent or immediate language services for County departments. The scope includes on-site face-to-face interpretation, telephone interpretation accessed through a toll-free number, video remote interpretation through Teams, Zoom, or another digital platform, written translation, and transcription of documents and live or prerecorded audio and video content. Services must include multilingual and American Sign Language interpretation, including 24/7 availability, and may involve medical and legal interpretation requiring specified certifications or qualifications. Respondents must demonstrate relevant public-sector experience, provide qualified staff and subcontractor information, describe their management approach, submit at least three references, and identify all languages and service types offered. Machine-generated translation, speech recognition software, and artificial intelligence are prohibited. The County will evaluate qualifications and establish a qualified list valid for up to three years from award, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum volume of work.
