Description
The School Board of Brevard County, Florida is accepting sealed proposals for Interpreter Services (Solicitation 26-1152-P-JD). The selected contractor will provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting, Signing Exact English (SEE) interpreting, Trilingual Interpreting, and Video Remote Interpretation (VRI) services for students in academic settings, extracurricular activities, and school-sponsored events, as well as for parents and guardians attending meetings and conferences, and for district staff when approved. Assignments may be hourly, partial-day, or full-day, and will be issued on an as-needed basis via purchase orders. The District does not guarantee a minimum volume of work. In-person interpreting is preferred for classroom instruction and IEP meetings, but VRI may be used for short-notice or low-complexity assignments at the District's discretion. Interpreters must meet minimum qualifications including RID, EIPA, BEI, NIC, or Florida educational interpreter credentials, and must complete Level 2 background screening in accordance with the Jessica Lunsford Act. The contract will have an initial term of three years with one optional two-year renewal period. Proposals are due by 2:00 PM ET on September 28, 2026, and must be submitted electronically via the OpenGov e-Procurement Platform.
