Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requires one firm-fixed-price construction contract to rehabilitate the sewer system at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge headquarters. Work includes CCTV inspection; high-pressure jetting, rodding, and flushing; root and debris removal; excavation and trenching; sewer pipe repair or replacement, including possible cured-in-place pipe lining; manhole and cleanout repairs; backfilling and surface restoration; and replacement of malfunctioning plumbing fixtures. The base requirement covers specified repairs and inspections, including work at sewer access manholes and lines, the Murre Building cleanout, and the Maintenance Building. Separately priced option work includes broader campus inspection and cleaning, additional sewer repairs, repairs beneath Marshlands Road, and replacement of two Maintenance Building toilets. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and tools and comply with applicable safety and environmental requirements. The project magnitude is $25,000 to $75,000, with performance from September 21, 2026, through March 31, 2027. Amendment 0001 states that a payment bond is required for awards over $35,000 and both payment and performance bonds are required for awards over $150,000; bonds are due within 10 calendar days after award.
