Description
The Department of the Air Force is seeking a contractor to clear approximately 5.4 acres along the north perimeter of Laughlin Air Force Base near the railroad. The work includes cutting and removing shrubs, rubbish, and woody vegetation over six inches in diameter; daily debris removal to an approved off-base disposal location; site dressing and leveling; and repair of contractor-caused property damage. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, safety measures, permits, and related incidentals. The scope also requires managing the Union Pacific Railroad right-of-way application and permit process, coordinating and paying for railroad flagger or escort services, complying with applicable environmental, safety, and railroad requirements, and completing a final government walkthrough. Performance is limited to 30 business days after the notice to proceed, with work generally scheduled during normal weekday duty hours. Award is expected under a lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation.
