Description
The Alameda County Transportation Commission is soliciting a contractor to construct a continuous network of bicycle facilities on existing streets near San Pablo Avenue in Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, and Oakland. The project was developed through the 2017–2020 San Pablo Avenue Corridor Planning process as an alternative to placing bicycle facilities directly on San Pablo Avenue. Work includes traffic circles and diverters, speed humps and tables, curb extensions, median modifications, intersection daylighting, curb and gutter work, curb ramps, pavement maintenance and rehabilitation, drainage modifications, pavement delineation, roadside signage, intersection safety lighting, a pedestrian hybrid beacon, rectangular rapid-flashing beacon warning devices, and landscaping improvements. Electronic signatures are required; zero unit prices and labor are permitted, but negative unit prices and labor are not permitted.
