Description

The University of Utah, on behalf of the Utah Education and Telehealth Network, is soliciting proposals for leased lit-fiber Ethernet and Internet services connecting rural healthcare facilities, healthcare data centers, and aggregation locations to the UETN statewide backbone and Utah Telehealth Network infrastructure. The scope includes primarily 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps circuits, with some locations potentially served by Metro Ethernet, MPLS, licensed microwave, or other functionally equivalent alternatives where leased fiber is not feasible. Vendors must provide technical and service-level information, network topology and configuration details, security and monitoring capabilities, installation and support plans, and pricing for individual locations. Proposals must include a written technical response and the completed Attachment A cost proposal spreadsheet, with separate cost files. The resulting contracts may be awarded to multiple vendors on a per-location basis, with a five-year service term, anticipated to begin July 1, 2027. Vendors must address Rural Health Care Program compliance, including a current or obtainable Service Provider Identification Number, applicable invoicing and documentation obligations, and required service continuity and regulatory provisions.
