Description
Sandy City’s Department of Public Utilities is seeking Statements of Qualifications from contractors for five utility construction projects. The work includes installing approximately 2,810 linear feet of 20-inch ductile iron water pipe, replacing fire hydrants and meter boxes, and installing storm drain systems of various sizes with associated junction boxes, inlets, manholes, and other structures. Work also includes removing existing water and storm drain infrastructure, coordinating utility relocations, and restoring pavement, curb and gutter, driveways, and other affected site features. Contractors must demonstrate relevant experience, including at least three qualifying open-cut water main projects and three qualifying open-cut storm drain projects completed within the specified six-year period. The SOQ must address personnel and qualifications, project approach, previous project experience, financial information, safety and quality programs, and contractor availability. A completed Contractor Information Form is also required. Only contractors that prequalify will be invited to submit bids; the anticipated construction period is April through October 2027.
