Description
The U.S. Department of Commerce, through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with JAG Alaska Inc. for a localized U.S. Coast Guard/American Bureau of Shipping-approved water mist fire suppression system aboard the NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson. The system will be installed during the vessel’s midlife repair. The requirement includes complete system design and installation; piping integration with three ship service diesel generators and freshwater tanks; electrical connection to the generators’ emergency bus; interfacing with the fire alarm detection system; and full-system testing. This is a notice of intent rather than a solicitation, but other interested parties may submit written capability statements demonstrating that they can meet all requirements. Contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management before award.
