The Federal Highway Administration’s Western Federal Lands Highway Division is planning a full-and-open construction procurement to reconstruct and pave the Riley Creek Campground roads in Denali National Park, Alaska. The approximately 2.02-mile project includes aggregate base, roadway excavation and stabilization, recycled aggregate base, asphalt concrete pavement, asphalt milling, tack coat, pavement markings, traffic control, and related incidental construction. Additional work includes pavement repairs along the park road, including a deep patch near milepost 14.8, roadway reconstruction and paving in the U.S. Post Office and mercantile parking areas, frontage-road work, drainage and culvert work, sign and bollard replacement, gate and trash-receptacle resetting, construction surveying, quality control, sampling and testing, erosion and sediment control, equipment rental, and general labor. The estimated price range is $5 million to $10 million. The solicitation is expected in fall 2026 or winter 2027, with a tentative fixed completion date in fall 2027.
