Description
The USDA Forest Service is soliciting quotations for repair and mitigation of failures on the first 1.70 miles of the 12.20-mile Sand Trail (Trail 229). Work includes Class III riprap bank armoring, placement of 3-inch-minus aggregate as backfill behind the riprap, placement of D-1 aggregate on the trail running surface for ATV use, clearing, minor excavation, geotextile installation, drainage work, stream-channel diversions, and related embankment and aggregate construction. Construction must occur during low-water conditions and after five consecutive days below 30°F. The acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 237990. The contractor must provide the required quality-control, testing, material certifications, project and excavation plans, erosion-control measures, and other submittals identified in the specifications. Amendment 2 extends the quote deadline to September 22, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The period of performance remains September 24, 2026, through May 31, 2027.
